We are having an open studio opportunity, outside of the Cedars Union, and keeping social distance by having it outside.
I had the opportunity to try something outside my normal wall mounted paintings, and so I jumped on an idea I have had most of this year. It would be great to see you there!

During the thick of the isolation at the beginning of the pandemic the days became to melt together. In an attempt to keep track of time I watched the sunrise each day and had tea. The colors of each sunrise were different and became something I looked forward to observing. This routine became a ritual and my physical prayer to myself of hope that there is always change.
This piece is a collection of the tea bag papers I collected from this year, printed with a house filled with a growing broken tree, in changing colors to mimic the many colors of each sunrise.
